On April, 12th,opening ceremony of Chinese excellent traditional culture education month hasbeen held at Confucius Culture Square. College leaders, directors, teachers,students and professors from cooperative colleges attended the ceremony.
Aiming atinheriting and carrying forward Chinese excellent traditional culture,cultivating students in cultural atmosphere, the theme of this ceremony isInheritage, Renaissance, Innovation, and Transcendence.
Wang Jinsheng, Secretaryof Party Committee, congratulated the ceremony, welcomed guest experts comingfrom afar and gave thanks for the effort they did for QTC Chinese excellenttraditional culture learning and developing. Secretary Wang quoted the speechof President XiJinping and emphasized the importance of Chinese excellenttraditional culture. Chinese excellent traditional culture is the flow of bloodvessels in the body of the Chinese nation and genetic code of Chinesecivilization. The classic statements such as “Is it not pleasant to learn witha constant perseverance and application? Is it not delightful to have friendscoming from distant quarters? Is he not a man of complete virtue, who feels nodiscomposure though men may take no note of him?” fromThe Analects ofConfucius,the core spirit of ideological line of the Party “be practicaland realistic” corresponding with the example of traditional Chinese medicalexperts Tu Youyou, Noble Scientific Prize Owner were illustrated to state that Chinesetraditional culture is to explore and chase the path and way of truth and alsothe fundamental philosophy of being a human being, working and studying.Teachers and students are expected to further studying and developing Chineseexcellent traditional culture, being skillful and moral person and being beneficialto both society and family.

In recent years,Qingdao Technical College has explored the path and way of excellenttraditional culture education. Confucius culture square and Lao Zi culturesquare have been constructed. Traditional culture related lectures delivered byoff-campus and on-campus experts and traditional culture activitiesparticipated by students are to cultivate skillful and moral talent and tocreate the atmosphere of traditional culture studying.
