Waiariki Training Group Came Back with Accomplishments

On 24 November, Waiariki Training Group came back with accomplishments after 8 weeks’ Tourism Management Major Course Training in New Zealand.

During the course of training, the group successively participated in English teaching observation, explored tourism management major course teaching research, visited tourism enterprises, had talks with the alumni association, helped popularizing Chinese and Chinese culture. The training group compared the different approaches to language teaching, experienced tourism and hospitality practice, paid visits to some tourism enterprises where our graduates work, interviewed the experienced tutors and local famous entrepreneurs to know the development and prospect as well as challenges in New Zealand tourism, took active parts in popularizing Chinese and Chinese Culture . They brought back our students’ expectations and suggestions as well. Based on their study,experience ,feeling and achievements, the training group compared the differences between the two countries’ educational system and life concepts . With the help of Waiariki library’s stuff, theyordered some books on classroom thinking strategies and “whole person education”, hoping to facilitate QTC’s future educational developments.

On 25 November, regardless of jet lag, the training group already engaged themselves in making up the missed lessons and follow-up work.
