Following the international cooperation agreement signed last December, Qingdao Technical College (QTC) and Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec)recently discussed in detail the establishment of China-New Zealand vocational education research institute at QTC, aiming to promoting the earlier implementation of the program.
The leaders of the two sides, including Mr. Neil Barns from MOE, New Zealand, and Secretary Liu Pengzhao and President Qin Chuan from QTC met each other and discussed the cooperation either in terms of the macro planning or in terms of the details. Basing on the consensus reached, the two sides will report respectively to the MOEs of their countries and make preparation for the official opening of the institute in March this year.
The program was initiated by the two countries' MoE leaders, aiming at deepening the mutual understanding and cooperation of their vocational education.
