A delegation of Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec), New Zealand visited QTC December 13, signing an international education agreement and discussing for the further cooperation.

The official partnership with Wintec also witnesses QTC's 60th overseas partner and a new chapter for the vocational cooperation between the two countries.
QTC leaders Secretary Liu Pengzhao, President Qin Chuan met Deputy Chief Executive of Mr. Wintec David Christiansen respectively.
During the talk with President Qin, a series of matters were discussed in detail, concerning cooperatively setting up a vocational education research institute, conducting pragmatic cooperation, promoting the vocational education exchanges between the two countries etc. and they both agreed to immediately begin the preparation for the establishment of the research institute, developing curriculum and making international curriculum criterion and accordingly extending to a wider area.
The program is reportedly a suggestion proposed by the two countries MOE leaders, focusing on the further understanding and mutual benefits of the two countries' vocational education.
One of the biggest institute in New Zealand and founded in 1968, Wintec has 12 schools and provides over 180 curricula, which are both recognized by the country's NZQA and China MOE. Currently, Wintec has set up relationships with the educational institutions in several provinces of China. (by Li Chengji)
