Partnership Alliance Conference Held at QTC

Over 30 reps from 13 partnership vocational colleges attended the second conference of their nationwide cooperative alliance at QTC on October 24.

In his work report for Cooperative Alliance for Vocational Colleges, Qin summed up the achievements obtained in the past two years, and emphasized that focusing on Exchange, Cooperation, Development and Reciprocation, the alliance had provided a platform for communication and cooperation in terms of their advanced education philosophies, successful practices etc.

The conference also held a newcomers joining ceremony, welcoming Tianshan College, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Yeungjin College, South Korea, a QTC's international partner for a decade, who, via the alliance, sought to build more relations with China western colleges.

The meeting selected QTC President Qin Chuan as the new Director General of the alliance.

The relevant government official Mr. Yang Yong presented and talked on the conference, speaking positively of the accomplishments and hoping QTC would, in light of the platform, endeavor to improve itself and coordinate with the western colleges by sharing its teaching resources thus to make more contribution to China's western colleges' development.

That afternoon, the conference held a presidents' roundtable forum, focusing on topic of Teaching Management and Student Service. QTC's international partners Red River College from Canada and Waiariki Institute of Technology from New Zealand were also invited to present the roundtable.

Focusing on teaching management and student service, QTC President Qin Chuan and the newly elected vice Director General Mr. Hou Changlin, President of Tongren Polytechnic College in the country's southwest province Guizhou, respectively talked on the forum.

Some international teaching modes and practices were also introduced by the invited guests from South Korea, Canada and New Zealand. (By Li Chengji)
