Provincial Feedback to QTC Education

After 3 days of survey and assessment on October 11, the provincial education assessment group convened a special concluding meeting, officially feeding back what they had reached on QTC's education.

All the group members, government reps from at both provincial and municipal levels, QTC administration as well as all the working staff attended the announcing meeting.

The group leader Professor Yang Yingsong, on behalf of all the experts, announced the assessment report, saying QTC, in the past 3 years, had actively explored its own education mode and conducted educational reform, which had greatly benefited itself either in terms of the high inspiration of its staff, or in terms of the advanced educational philosophies, or in terms of its fruitful international exchanges and cooperation. The report also mentioned the weaknesses or difficulties that the college faced and proposed what to do next.

Each specialist, combined with their overseeing jobs, gave their own suggestions for the college's further improvement.

Mr. Liu Baojun, deputy director of Higher Education Division of the provincial Education Department, expressed his appreciation to the experts, Qingdao municipal government as well as all QTC staff. He said the feedback rightly reflected the achievements and weaknesses of the college and would also function greatly to the provincial vocational education development. He also gave his hope to the college, augmenting its efforts in educational philosophies, teaching faculties, teaching supervision, and core competence etc.

Deputy Secretary General of Qingdao Municipal Government Mr. Wang Weiping, on behalf of the local government, said in his talk, the assessment was a cherished opportunity for the college to learn and improve itself, and would exert a great influence on the college's further development. He hoped the college valued the advice of all the experts and took this opportunity to conduct consistent in-depth education reform to maintain a further development.

QTC President Qin Chuan, on behalf of the college, said the assessment group, through a thorough diagnosis of the college's programs and field investigations, had provided proper guidance for the college's further development. After delivering his appreciation to the experts and leaders, he further said the college would be resolved to improve itself by carefully studying the suggestions of the specialists and further reinforce the college in terms of education mode, teaching facilities, and core competence based brand education etc. (Translated by Li Chengji)
