QTC President Paying a Visit to Europe

With an intention to further enhance the current cooperative achievements with European countries, QTC President Qin Chuan is paying a special visit to Ireland, Austria and Germany from September 19th to 30th.

Qin's first stop was Ireland, where he visited and met President Dr. Oliver Murphy of Tralee Institute of Technology, Ireland and also gave his regards to QTC students studying there.

At Tralee Institute of Technology

Dr. Oliver showed his welcome and expressed the two institutions shared many education philosophies and development strategies and would reconsider the further cooperation to seek for a sustainable development. President Qin suggested, during the talk, the continuous cooperation should include more activities concerning, in addition to current joint program, such other fields as exchanges of two sides' academics, teachers and students, the in-depth cooperation for their Information Technology and Hospitality programs, and the train-the-trainers programs etc. During the talk, Dr. Oliver was pleasantly accepted Qin's invitation to visit Qingdao next spring.

President Qin, during the talk with QTC students studying there, encouraged them to rapidly adapt to the new life there, and hoped they could set up the college's sixth overseas alumni association in Ireland.

During his transit in Dublin, President Qin also visited the country's prestigious Trinity College Dublin and the National Museum of Ireland. In the college, he experienced the new members admission activities of its students clubs and associations, and visited its famed library, the oldest and largest of the country.
