In the just past summer season, 22 QTC students worked as Assistants to CPC secretaries of the local subdistrict office neighborhoods.

The students contributed their efforts in both helping handle some routine jobs and do some public propaganda concerning civilized city building, family plan and social security policies etc. Through the real world training, they, on one hand, could reap the opportunity to learn more about the society, and on the other hand, greatly improve themselves by enhancing their comprehensive quality and the adaptability to the society.

QTC adopts a season based semester system, namely spring, summer, autumn, and winter semesters, among which the summer and winter seasons are the time for its students and their teachers to do on-the-job training or practice outside the campuses in industries or governmental departments.

The 22 students this time were specially selected among the college's Haier School, and with the help of the local subdisctrict office, they were designated to the neighborhoods under its jurisdiction for the monthlong training. (By Li Chengji)
