Headed by Secretary Liu Pengzhao, a QTC group came to New Zealand visiting its partners on August 20 and 21.
AtWeikato Institute of Technology(Wintec), the visiting group was received by its Chief Executive Mark Flowers, with whom they talked about the potential cooperation, in terms of vocational education research institute and joint programs for marketing, accountant and logistics etc. Secretary Liu, after listening to the introduction of Wintec, said the advantages of its programs had an important borrowing significance in QTC's programs development, and it was necessary to further make the program cooperation thought more specific so as to obtain a win-win situation. He also invited Mark to visit QTC for a further talk.

The next day on August 21, Secretary Liu visitedWaiariki Institute of Technology(Waiariki), a QTC partner with whom a joint program has already been started. Waiariki's acting chief executive Keith Ikin with all his administration team welcomed Liu with a grand traditional Maori ceremony.

Keith appreciated Liu's visiting Waiariki shortly after he took his office. The two leaders thought highly of the achievements already obtained and also discussed the further cooperation. They agreed to sign a memo to enlarge the cooperation, in terms of more programs of Waiariki for QTC students to choose, NZ student study and travel groups to QTC, train the trainers program, and preschool education etc.
After the talk, Liu paid a special visit to the 16 QTC students and the 2 QTC teachers who are respectively studying and receiving training at Waiariki. (By Li Chengji)
