QTC sent 19 of its young teachers to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) to receive a two-week training beginning from July 30th until August 12th.

Field Investigation

The training session, focusing on the reinforcement of the teaching competency, was jointly hosted by QTC and HKPU this year, the second time of its kind since last year. Involving 13 special reports by 11 celebrities from the local business, political and educational fields, and 5 field investigations, the training covered the comparison between the two different systems of both Hong Kong and mainland China, Hong Kong students management and service system, college system, communicative skills as well as psychological tutorship etc. Within the limited period of training, the trainees greatly improved themselves either in terms of obtaining more fresh knowledge or in terms of broadening their visions, laying a firm foundation for their teaching career.

Putting great attention on this training, QTC held a special advance discussion meeting for it, and its top leaders respectively conveyed their hopes as well as regards to the trainees. President Qin Chuan even went to the airport to give all of them a seeing off on the departure day. (By Li Chengji)
