On June 29th, QTC leaders Secretary Liu Pengzhao, President Qin Chuan met Ms. Alexandra Grace, counselor of education of New Zealand Embassy in China as well as the four members’delegation from Waikato Institute of Technology and Universal College of Learning(UCOL). Concentrating on the frame work of the Sino-New Zealand joint programs, President Qin Chuan held a deep talk with the delegation. During the talk, they discussed the new mode and possibility of the cooperation in higher vocational education between two parties. It is believed that the meeting will enhance the mutual understanding between two countries in the educational exchange and cooperation.

Founded in 1912, Waikato Institute of Technology is one of the largest institutes of technology in New Zealand, which is composed of 12 schools, offering more than 180 programs. Universal College of Learning (UCOL), founded in 1976, offers different levels education from diploma to doctor degree.
