In the recently closed higher vocational contest among Shandong vocational colleges, QTC's eight projects got awarded, with the project of Modern Hotel Service being the first prize, the projects of "numerical-control manufacture of mechanical product" and "modern logistics—storage and distribution planning design and implementation" the second, and the five other projects including"three-dimensional moulding and innovative design of mechanical product"etc rounding off the third position. This is QTC's another excellent achievement made in the provincial skills contest.

The First Prize Winners

In this year's contest, there are 10 competition projects, 390 participant teams and 1151 contestants. After a fierce competition, it produced 41 first prizes, 83 second prizes and 122 third prizes. The contest this year adopted new rules, and the selection of the participants is decided through drawing lots randomly by the contest organizing committee, which reflects that the contest is no longer a show place for only a few top skilled participants, but tries to demonstrate the comprehensive strength of the contestants, advocate all staff members' participation in the vocational skills contest, and show better the talent training target of the vocational colleges.

In this contest, QTC participated altogether in nine projects of the total ten, which exceeds the previous years in quantity. The college leaders attached great importance to the contest and all project teams actively struggled for the achievements. This contest provides an opportunity to train and improve the teachers' and students' comprehensive quality and it will surely advance and promote the reform of the college's training and teaching and improve the talent training quality.
