Qingdao municipal government awarded April 29th the model workers of Year 2009-2011 in the city's People's Hall. More than 600 excellent people were awarded as the model workers, among whom Sui Xilai from QTC was selected as Qingdao Model Worker.

As QTC's team leader of the maintenance department, Sui Xilai set up "Xilai Hotline", offering a 24 hour repairing service for teachers and students. He, together with his team has been doing a wonderful job in maintaining the appliances and buildings for the whole college. Besides the maintenance work, he has also been doing researches in water recycling and designing intelligent light switch. Because of his marvelous job, he has obtained more than 7 awards such as the 2010 Qingdao Worker Pioneer.
